Sweet Rides: BMW 640i Gran Coupe

It was only a matter of time before BMW threw their hat into the four-door coupe ring. The Munich automaker had to have seen the hype brought on by the Porsche Panamera, Audi A7 and the Mercedes CLS. Their long-awaited entry into this upscale niche class, the elegant, high-performance 640i Gran Coupe, doesn’t disappoint. Unlike the polarizing design of the Panamera, it’s hard to imagine anyone taking a dislike to the seductive, sleek, athletic Gran Coupe. The elongated hood and pushed-back passenger cabin give the Gran Coupe an eye-catching profile that seems perfectly balanced, more akin to the CLS’s smoothly raked hoodline than the Panamera and A7 with their distinctively asymmetrical back ends. Head-on, the shark-nose contours of the hood, flattened kidney grille and broad air vents lend a muscular, aggressive feel.
The stunning design mates well with the powerful 315-horsepower TwinPower Turbo V6, which unleashes a 0-60 sprint in 5.4 seconds. If that’s not quick enough, BMW will soon follow up with the 650i Gran Coupe, equipped with a 4.4-liter V8, producing 445 horsepower and a blistering 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. Both models will be available with optional xDrive all-wheel drive, which splits power between the front and rear axles to optimize stability and traction. Drivers will also be able to control handling and performance via the Driving Dynamics Control system. The options, which include Comfort+, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Eco Pro, adjust automotive settings in the direction of comfort, performance or fuel economy.
All this beauty and power comes with a hefty price tag. Unlike the Audi A7, BMW’s 640i Coupe lands squarely in the rarefied air of a Porsche Panamera. Once you add on the various packages most buyers will select (Driver Assistance Package with head-up display, parking assistant, etc.: $3,700; Luxury Seating Package: $3,600; M Sport Package with 19- or 20-inch M double spoke wheels and M aerodynamic kit: $4,200, or $5,500 if you go for the 20s) and other options, the 640i or 650i price will spike around six figures or beyond. Is it worth it? Well, that depends on how much you value owning one of the most beautiful, dynamic cars on the road.

MINI John Cooper Works Coupe

When Dario Franchitti and Ashley Judd pulled up to a post-Indy 500 party in 2010 in a blue-and-white Mini Cooper—mere moments after Dario had taken the checkered flag at the Brickyard—all doubts about Mini’s macho cred dispelled. And recent styling moves have made this iconic British sports car even more appealing to the eye, especially when you add in the track-tuned John Cooper Works premium package. When Mini debuted their first two-seater last fall, they also bowed a posh big sibling in the John Cooper Works coupe that is plain nasty looking—black alloy wheels, dual center-mounted exhaust, a significantly increased raked roofline in contrasting colors; even an active spoiler to improve aerodynamics at speed.
The John Cooper Works coupe packs a 208 horsepower turbo under the signature two-tone hood, and the nimble suspension will have you re-creating the heist scene from The Italian Job on every curvy road you encounter. Yet for all that performance, the coupe has practicality. The hatch pops open to reveal a surprisingly cavernous trunk, suitable for throwing in your better half’s bags for a romantic weekend escape. Just be careful: She might get jealous when your car turns more guys’ heads than she does.
Style factor: Leather-wrapped steering wheel, well-appointed interior, booming Harman-Kardon sound system and of course the big center-console-mounted speedo, and major curb appeal
Fiscal factor: The sticker above 38K might strike some as a steep price to pay for this slick coupe
Fun factor: With good power-to-weight ratio and taut suspension, this car just begs to be thrown into corners

2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster

Freshly revealed late last week, Aston Martin’s gorgeous new auto demon, the V12 Vantage Roadster, is leagues ahead of your traditional convertible.

This muscular 6.0-liter beast puts out an awe-inspiring 510 horses at 6,500 rpm, which allows the Vantage to sprint from 0-62 in a quick 4.5 seconds. While this sporty two-door two-seater shares the same mechanics and stats as its hardtop sibling, the roadster features a redesigned trunk and front intake to deliver an unparalleled level of performance.

The cabin of the vehicle allows for numerous personal modifications, such as glass switches and carbon fiber fascia and gearshift. The mixed material body and frame incorporate aluminum, magnesium alloy, composite and steel. New design elements on the exterior of the Vantage include a revised forged alloy wheel design, carbon fiber mirror caps and lamp infills, as well as other carbon fiber elements that help define the car’s visibly sporty personality and will leave onlookers severely jealous, with good reason.
The price for this car : starting at £150,000 (US$226,000

Crazy Concept: BMW i8

If you've recently seen a mysterious badass bimmer stealing the ending scenes of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, then let us introduce you to, (or re-introduce, if you're a car fanatic) the BMW i8 Concept.

This smokin' hot, futuristic ride is one of the first models of the new BMW i sub-brand which starts launching emission-friendly vehicles in 2013.  This hybrid-electric utilizes an impressive dual-fuel system that allows it to operate at around an amazing 80mpg. Combined with the capability to go 0-60 in a reported 4.8 seconds, this car is made for those who want the speed without sacrificing fuel.

Car Stats By TimeforInfos:
ENGINE: 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo
HORSES: 328bhp
TANK: 24 litres, diesel
EMISSIONS: 1.3 l CO2 per 100km
HYBRID CONSUMPTION: 3.8L/100km
PROJECTED RANGE: 700km

Details are scarce at the moment, but look for more to surface at the North American International Auto Show that starts this week in Detroit. For now however, check this out:

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

As far as BMW vehicles go, the arguably most revered class of the company by both auto enthusiasts and the manufacturers themselves has always been the M series of performance vehicles. Despite our hope that BMW will bring back the legendary M1 supercar (though the i8 Concept is beautiful), we’re more than game to accept a new member of the family whenever the BMW motorsport design gods feel like fueling the passionate fan fire this sub-brand ignites.

Back at the Geneva Auto Show in March (alongside the new Lambo and Ferrari), the company revamped the eye-catching M variant of its six-series line of executive coupes and convertibles. The series, which got its own overhaul for the 2012 auto year, is decidedly a legacy vehicle that exudes luxury and the perfect hint of sports appeal, which has made it so popular.

The M6, which is being released in both coupe and convertible models, brings together the historic legacy of the brand with concept-style esthetics, premium technology and absolutely perfect tuning specifications.
After unexpectedly ditching its predecessors’ V10 engine, the M6 now sports a powerful 4.4-liter eight cylinder that of course utilizes the M TwinPower Turbo technology, featuring high-precision direct fuel injection, fully variable valve control and cross-bank exhaust manifold. The jaw-dropping maximum output of 560 hp between 6-7000 rpm gives this powerhouse 502 lb.-ft. of torque, which is 30 percent higher than the last M6. Overall, this gives the M6 the distinction of being 10 percent faster than the 2010 second-gen model, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (or 189 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package).
The M6 delivers a resoundingly decent 28.5 miles per gallon combined and emits 371 g/mile. The seven-speed M double clutch transmission features Drivelogic, which gives the driver further control over the car’s power and limits power interruptions through the acceleration. Combined with the increasingly common performance paddle shifters, the vehicle is more than equipped in the leather-wrapped cabin to keep you entertained and exhilarated on the road.
The redesigned exterior features a bold and aggressive body design that intertwines dynamic lines and a striking façade, alongside the contoured carbon fiber roof for lower weight and center of gravity, improving your driving experience. Beginning with the traditional M grille and imposing lowe

Car designed by Gaddafi

Certainly he was a tyrant and a murderer ... but maybe it could have been something else if he was fed with more love that little boy. Former dictator of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi has designed this machine cold in 2009. Saroukh name has al-Jamahiriya (Libyan missile), has five passenger cars, has a 230-horse V6 engine fuqi.Është said that the reason he decided to take in hand the design and construction of this machine was due to high number of traffic accidents in Libya. He wanted to create a safer ride for his people. Cars in front of her like a little or almost completely with a Peugeot which I have changed the emblem of the lion. I know you do not like you but for me it feels a bit like lounge car with its strange shape.

2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

If there was any doubt that an ultimate sports car bearing the name “Vitesse” (French for speed), costing an estimated $2.25 million and designated as the successor to Bugatti’s legendary Super Sport could wind up being an orgasm on wheels, then you clearly haven’t heard of the much-awaited 2013 Veyron 16.4.
After years of development, this revolutionary roadster was unveiled in Beijing in April. The auto world and fans alike can assure themselves that this is one hot rod they’ll be able to see in a classics museum somewhere down the road.
Using a custom-designed, absolutely excessive 7.9-liter 16-cylinder engine in W configuration, the Vitesse’s maximum torque of 1106 lb.-ft. delivers an astounding 1200 horses that will give the lucky bastard on board an ego so big he’ll have to drive with the top down.
The Vitesse owes its increased capabilities (from the Super Sport) to the addition of four larger turbochargers with intercoolers, as well as a reinforced and reconfigured drivetrain and chassis to help evenly balance the immense power of the car and the stress placed upon the components at top speed. Alongside numerous adaptations for larger air intakes and vents, the new exterior roof spoiler helps with noise and buffer reduction while on the road.
When a vehicle has the ability to hit 62 from standing in just 2.6 seconds, it becomes almost humorous to imagine the scenarios that require power of that magnitude. While our preferred fantasy for the beast entails hightailing it to the Playboy Mansion for a last-minute party in the grotto, we’d also entertain such far-fetched notions as racing one of the Air Force’s F-35 Joint Strike Lightning II jets to the end of the runway, breaking the land speed record for crossing the continental 48 or scaring the fucking shit out of every last person on Bolivia’s infamous road of death.

The Stats:
ENGINE: 7.9-liter W16
POWER: 1200 HP at 6,400 rpm
TOP SPEED: 255 mph
TORQUE: 1106 lb.-ft.
QUANTITY: Production limited to 350 units
PRICE: $2.25M
